Using the DJI extension’s arm
switch, arm the system by
flipping it to its activated
position (Up), wait 4 seconds
and then switch it back to its
safe position (Down). Check
that the LED on the SmarAir
turns

GREEN

, and that a long

beep was heard.

13

Wait 3 seconds and then
Disarm the system by

pressing

that same switch up. Verify
that the LED turns

PURPLE

(it

will flash and then stay
permanent)
and that you hear
double-beep

.

 Now the

system is disarmed.

14

Wait 3 seconds, then turn the
switch down again. See that
the LED turns

BLUE

.

Takeoff

1

After take-off, you must climb to approximately eight meters before the system is
armed. Climb until you hear a single long beep, and the LED is

GREEN

2

The system is now armed and ready for activation in case of an emergency.

Optional – manual arming

Take off to an altitude of at least 3 meters above ground level. Arm the system by
using the DJI extension’s arm switch: switch it up, wait 4 seconds and then switch it
down to its safe position again. Verify that the LED on the SmartAir turns

GREEN

followed by a long beep

The parachute is now armed and ready to operate

for the first time

Caution

During parachute deployment, the following steps need to be performed in order
to lower the M-600 landing gear.

Using the DJI remote: Pull both sticks towards the center OR use the landing
gear switch to lower the legs.

Both options are fully functional after the flight termination system cuts
the motor power
