SAFETY & MAINTENANCE

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

In a house of typical construction, that is, one that is not of unusually tight construction due to

heavy insulation and tight seals against air infiltration, an adequate supply of air for
combustion and ventilation is provided through infiltration. The unvented decorative
appliance should not be used in a small room where less than 5.7 m cube (200 feet cube) of
air space is provided for each 1’000 Btu per hour of the unit. Do not use this unit in a
bathroom, a room where sleeping accommodation is provided or any other small room

It is NOT recommended to use more than one fireplace insert at a time in one room.

Never leave an open fire unattended at any time!

Replace empty ethanol gel cans only when the unit has been shut off for a reasonable

amount of time (at least for 15 minutes).

Do not touch hot surfaces surrounding the flames

Please get yourself and the members of your family familiarized with the Warning section of

this manual

Never pour fuel into an open flame or hot canister.

This appliance should not be used as a main source of heat, it is decorative.

  Keep fuel containers closed tightly.

Keep fuel away from children and animals.

The burning canister must not be exposed to direct heat such as direct sunshine or central

heating.

Do not place any flammable material within 1 meter/40 inches around the fireplace insert. A

safety distance of at least 2 meters/80 inches should be kept from any window or curtain.

CAUTION:

Do not smoke while handling the fuel.

Avoid draft in the room where the fireplace is operated.

Avoid draft causing movements in the proximity of the fireplace insert as these might fan the

flame.

The glass and the steel elements become very hot when the appliance is in operation keep

children and animals away during use and for 30 minutes after use of the fireplace. Do not
store any flammable goods close to the fireplace.

CAUTION:

Keep children and pets away from fireplace when in operation.
