Do not spill liquids on the recliner’s electrical parts, such as the motors or handheld controller. This
could cause an electric shock due to a short circuit or product failure. If liquid is accidentally spilled
on the product, remove the power plug from the power outlet and then contact us (see “Contact
Information” on p. 46) or your distributor.

Disconnect the power plug when moving the recliner.

Damage to the power plug or cables may cause electric shock or fire.

Do not move the recliner with a person sitting in it.

There is a risk of injury caused by the person
falling off the recliner when moving the recliner.

When moving the recliner with the IV Pole attachment hole mounted,
watch your step.

Your leg may bump into the IV Pole attachment hole or your foot may get caught, resulting in injury.

Inspect the recliner regularly.

The product will exhibit wear and deterioration depending on the frequency of use and the environment.
Regularly inspect for the operation of moving parts, and the presence of damage (see p. 34). The
use of a recliner in worn/deteriorated condition may result in unexpected injury.

Do not attempt to repair or modify the product yourself.

This may create unintended gaps or may cause abnormal operation, possibly causing injury.

Request inspection and repair of damaged recliners.

If recliners are damaged in earthquakes, fires, or floods or other incidents, direct requests for
assistance with inspection or repair to the address or telephone number listed on p. 46 or your
distributor. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock or fire due to short circuit or current leakage from
electrical parts, or injury due to malfunctioning caused by deformation of the recliner.

Do not apply more than the safe working load on the recliner

The recliner could be damaged, possibly causing injury. The safe working load of this recliner is 1600 N
(163 kgf). The safe working load is the maximum load with which the recliner can be operated safely
and is the total load of the user’s weight and incidental items including accessories.
