Safety instructions
Proper use:
Use awnings for their defined purpose only,
as sun protection.
Awnings cannot be used in all weathers
and therefore must be retracted in wind or
storms as well as rain or snow.
If the awning is fitted with an automatic
controller (e.g. wind and sun monitor), this
must be switched off during winter or when
there is a risk of frost (risk of icing up). If the
awning is exposed to rain, it must be set to a
minimum tilt of 15°.
Operating the awning during frost or icing
can cause considerable damage to the
awning.
Any changes to the system design or equip-
ment configuration require written consent
from the manufacturer.
Additional loads on the awning from atta
-
ched objects or cable tensioning can cause
the awning to be damaged or crash and are
thus prohibited.
All consoles that have been delivered must
be used and also must be fitted using all of
their fixing points.
Instructions to the fitter and user:
All work (fitting, maintenance) on the sys
-
tem must be carried out by qualified, trained
personnel or persons with proven techni-
cal skills that are required in the respective
country (place of installation).
The user must be handed all operating ins
-
tructions as well as fitting and setting inst
-
ructions of the motor, switch and controller
manufacturers and instructed in the use of
these components.
The user must be given comprehensive infor-
mation on the safety and user information of
the awning. Failure to comply and incorrect
use can lead to damage to the awning and
accidents.
Once the fitting company has obtained
knowledge of the location and fitted the
awning, they explain to the user if the wind
resistance class stated by the manufacturer
has been achieved for the fitted awning.
If this is not the case, the fitting company
must document the actual wind resistance
class.
The user or fitter is responsible for the pro
-
per functioning of wind monitoring systems
and the ongoing testing of their functions.
There is an increased risk of injury in
case of improper use!
This product may be used by children over
eight years of age as well as persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capa-
bilities or lack of experience and knowledge
if they are given supervision or instruction
concerning the safe use of the product and
understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning work and user maintenance
must
not be carried out by unsupervised children.
Instruct all persons
in the safe use of the
awning and operating components.
Watch the moving awning
and keep persons
at a distance until it has stopped moving.
Stop children
from playing with the awning,
fixed controls or the remote control.
Keep the hand transmitter in a safe place
so
that unintentional operation, e.g. by playing
children, is ruled out.
Take extra care with movable and open /
extended systems as components
may fall
down if attachments (e.g. springs, brackets,
consoles, etc.) give way or break.
Perform all maintenance and cleaning work
on the awning
when disconnected from the
mains.
The awning must be fitted and maintained in
a location with sufficient natural or artificial
light.

missioning of electrically operated
