Monitoring – Selftest
Selftest Screen
D-A
Displays the results of the self-test executed the last time the card was powered on or
reset. Except for the DSL port loopback, all test results are displayed as Pass or Fail.
Device
results:
RAM
– Random Access Memory test result.
HDLC Bus
– Verifies that the HDLC bus is operational.
File System
– Verifies that the file systems’ nonvolatile memory devices (SEEP, Flash,
and/or NVRAM) are operational.
FPGA
– Verifies that the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is operational.
ATM Cross Connects
– Verifies that the ATM cross connect interface device is
operational.
Backplane Interface
– Verifies that the line card backplane interface device is operational
by exercising the hardware and software components that control the interface between
the line card and the ATM uplink.
External Interrupt
– Verifies external interrupt operation (for Models 8355 and 8385
only).
AAL5 SAR
– Verifies that the Segmentation And Reassembly circuit is operational.
DSL
– DSL port loopback test results. A result code is shown for each port: P for Pass,
F for Fail, N for Not Available, or D for Disabled.
