The DTR Auto Redial option of the Line Dialer
configuration options group no longer represents the
same internal setting as that accessed with the Auto
Redial configuration option in the Leased_Line group.
Auto Redial of the Leased Line group is moved to the new
S-Register S35.

Both types of Auto Redial settings define the number of
directory locations the modem may access when prior
dialing attempts fail. For example, the front panel
selection Dirs 1–10 means that all ten directory locations
may be tried. The default is directory location 1 only.

Fax Feature

3830: 3-2

The COMSPHERE 3800 fax firmware does not currently
support Auto Detect.

Quick Link II Fax

has a default Answer Mode of Fax

and Data, which will not work with the 3800 Release 4.6
firmware.

To circumvent the problem:

From the Quick Link II Fax Modem Setup dialog box,
select an Answer Mode of Fax Only.
