7. MAINTENANCE
This submerged pump is an experimented quality product, undergoes severe final tests, and does not require
any maintenance. For a long interruption-free operational life, we advise you to use it with care and run
periodic checks.
•
Electrically unplug before every maintenance job.
•
If using the pump in the mobile way, always wash it inside and outside with clean water after use.
•
If the pump is installed in a permanent place, we advise you to check the operation of the float switch
every three months.
•
Use a water jet to remove the hairs and filament particles which may have been deposited in the
pump housing.
•
Every three months: remove mud from the well bottom and clean the well walls.
•
Use clean water to remove deposits from the floating switch.
Cleaning the blade wheel:
If there are too many deposits in the pump casing, dismantle the lower part of the pump as follows:
1.
Detach the suction cage from the pump casing
2.
Clean the blade wheel with clean water.
Important: do not rest the pump against the blade wheel and do not use it as a support!
3.
Install in reverse order

Causes
Remedies
Pump not starting
- no current supplied
- float switch not operating

-take the float switch to a higher
position
Pump not circulating water

-the delivery pipe is bent
-clean the inlet filter with a water

-Straighten the pipe
Pump not switching OFF
- The float switch cannot descend -Correct the position of the pump
on the well bottom
Flow rate insufficient
-the inlet filter is clogged
-pump performance limited by a
high quantity of impurities
-clean the inlet filter
-clean the pump and replace parts
prone to wear
Pump switching OFF after a short
period of operation
-the motor overload cutout
switches OFF the pump due to too
many impurities in the water
-the motor overload cutout starts
operating because water
temperature is too high
-Unplug and clean both pump and
well
-do not exceed maximum water
temperature of 35° C
Before you begin troubleshooting, cut electrical power to the pump by unplugging it.
