formatting an SD
Memory Card
(Error messages are
displayed, etc.)
Check here for problem
• Check whether the SD Memory Card has been properly
inserted in the player or USB Reader/Writer.
• Check whether the player or USB Reader/Writer has been
properly connected to the PC.
If the SD Memory Card is still not recognized after the above
procedures, try restarting your PC.
In the playlist window, click [SD (#:)] under [SD].
(# represents the SD Memory Card drive ID.)
Is the write-protect switch on the SD Memory Card set to the
LOCK position? (
page 8)
The data may have been altered through Explore or another
program. When an SD Memory Card is formatted through SD-
Jukebox (
page 41), it can be used to check out tracks.
However, formatting an SD Memory Card erases all of the
data on the card, so be sure to check in the card data you
need before formatting.
The card may have been formatted by a program other than
SD-Jukebox. Exit SD-Jukebox. On the [Removable Disk] icon
depicting the SD Memory Card, right-click and select [Eject] to
remove the card.
