(4) Changing the indoor unit address (when necessary)
• All changing operations are carried out from a wired remote controller.
• This operation is carried out when you want to change the indoor unit ad-
dress after it has been set automatically.
• It is not possible to change the system address.
Remote controller
Changing the address of indoor units under individual and group control
This change is carried out with the indoor units not operating.
Press the
button, the
button, and the
button simultaneously for
longer than 4 seconds. “Unit No. - ” (in the case of group control the
main unit is
fi
rst displayed) and “Setting data
” are displayed as
fl
ickering.
Press the
button.
For group control, select the indoor unit address to change. (Example: For
the number 1-1 unit, “Unit No.
-
”)
The fan of the selected indoor unit starts to operate.
With the temperature setting
or
button, change “Item code
” to “Item code
.”
With the time setting
or
button, set “Setting data” to the number to
change the address.
Note: For an individual remote controller, if the address is duplicated the
error message “
” is displayed, but it is possible to continue
changing the address.
The error message disappears when the duplication is removed.
Press the
button.
The remote controller display changes from
fl
ickering to lit up.
For group control, using the
button, select the next indoor unit
address to change. Repeat the operations - , changing the indoor unit
address so as not to cause any duplication.
Note: For group control it is not possible to correct it if there is duplica-
tion. In that case re-do the automatic addressing operation.
After completion of the changes, press the
button and re-check
each indoor address. (The unit No. - is the value before changing, so
check the setting data using the fan of the indoor unit.)
After completion of the checks press the
button. The normal display
of the remote controller is restored.
