Calculation of the projection distance
For a screen size different from the above, use the equation below to calculate the projection distance.
Aspect ratio 16:10
minimum
L (m) = (diagonal screen size in inches) × 0.0336 – 0.0546
maximum L (m) = (diagonal screen size in inches) × 0.0670 – 0.0408
Aspect ratio 16:9
minimum
L (m) = (diagonal screen size in inches) × 0.0346 – 0.0546
maximum L (m) = (diagonal screen size in inches) × 0.0689 – 0.0408
NOTE: Distances calculated with the above equations will include a slight error.
NOTE:
• The value for L (distance to screen) varies slightly within ±5% depending on the zoom lens characteristics.
• At the shortest projection distance, the zoom lens characteristics may cause slight image distortion.
• When vertical keystone correction is used, the image is corrected in the direction that reduces its projected size.
• The brightness varies depending on the zoom setting.
