1-5-2. X-VALUE and LINEARITY (P2 and P3 Posts) ADJUSTMENT
1. Set the Auto Tracking to off.
(1) Press the FF key and the EJECT key simultaneously for more than 3 seconds.
(2) While keep pressing FF key, press the EJECT key in twice.
2. Perform the X-VALUE ADJUSTMENT
(1) Turn the Auto-Tracking to off and set the tracking to center fixing position.
(2) Playback the alignment Tape and adjust the X-Value so that the envelope becomes maximum as described on item
5-2. Tape Interchangeability Adjustment in Section 5.MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE.

3. Perform the LINEARITY ADJUSTMENT
(1) Turn the Auto-Tracking to off and set the tracking to center fixing position.
(2) Playback the alignment Tape and adjust the LINEARITY so that the envelope becomes flat by tracking (+) and (-)
switches.
