Release the handle by pressing down on the handle release pedal with your foot and
pulling back and down on the handle with your hand.
CAUTION: To prevent dam-
aging carpeted floors, tiled
floors, linoleum, etc. Do not
leave the beater bar rotat-
ing in the same place for
too long.
Step a second time
Wrap the mains lead around the upper
and lower cord hooks and push the mains
plug under the lead.
Turn the upper cord hook to release the
mains lead.
To start or stop the vacuum cleaner,
push the switch button to
‘I’
to turn ON
and to
‘O’
to turn OFF.
NOTE:
After use, unplug from the
socket and store the vacuum cleaner
in the upright position.

The beater bar does not rotate in the
BARE FLOOR (TOOLS) position.
Selector should be placed in BARE
FLOOR (TOOLS) position when using
vacuum cleaner on bare floors and
when using tools.

Selector should be placed in CARPET
position when using vacuum cleaner on
carpeted floors.
NOTE:
The beater bar does not rotate
in the BARE FLOOR (TOOLS) posi-
tion.
NOTE:
For longer belt life, turn vacu-
um cleaner off before moving selector.
CAUTION: Failure to do so
can cause belt to rub on
selector shaft and result in
belt becoming hot and cre-
ating a burning rubber
smell.
