About T (time)
When you set the shutter speed to T (time) and fully press the shutter button, the
shutter opens. (Approximately up to 120 seconds)
When you press the shutter button again, the shutter closes. Use this function
when you want to keep the shutter open for an extended period, for example, to
record pictures of fireworks or night scenes.
• You cannot use this function when the electronic shutter is used.
• You can use this function only in [Manual Exposure] Mode.
●
When you take pictures with the shutter speed set to T (time), we
recommend using remote recording with a tripod or smartphone as a
remote shutter release (
→
65), in order to prevent jitter.
●
When you take still pictures with the shutter speed set to T (time), the
pictures may have higher noise levels. If you want to suppress noise,
we recommend taking pictures by setting [Long Shtr NR] to [ON] in the
[Rec] menu.
