8.3.4.

LENS Calibration

1. Preparation of the SD CARD

a. Format the SD card.
b. Put PDCE570C.elf, cal.txt into the SD card on root directory.
c. Make sure that the content text of cal.txt is “PDCE570a cal menu”.

2. Setting the DSC for calibration

a. Set the battery to the camera.
b. Insert the SD card.
c. Press shutter button and power button at the same time and continuously until the calibration mode is displayed.

d. Set the Collimator’s Star-chart side  to the front of light box.
e. Move the lens to the center of the collimator on the opposite side of the light box.

3. Execute the calibration

a. Select “Lens” (fig.4-A), then press “MENU/SET” button (fig.4-B), then press Shutter button to start the auto CAL process.

b. The parameters will be saved  automatically once CAL process finish.
c. The LCD turns green and show “OK”, then power off automatically if succeed, LCD turns red and show NG code if fail.
