Using the AF Trigger
There are 2 ways to set the auto focus;
pressing the shutter button halfway or
pressing the [FOCUS] button.
Using the [FOCUS] button is effective to
prefocus the camera.

Using the [FOCUS] button to prefocus the camera
The prefocus technique is effective when you try to take a picture of a subject which
is moving so fast that the focus is difficult to be adjusted automatically.

Centre the subject in the AF area (P31), and press the [FOCUS] button.
• AF trigger will not operate until you press the [FOCUS] button again, even if you
press the shutter button halfway.
• When setting [CONT.AF] to [ON], [AF TRIGGER] is fixed to [
