7 Test Mode
7.1.
Power supply check mode (OVD checking)
In this mode, an abnormal power supply can be checked. Use this mode, when one or more of the following symptom occur.
(The test mode works only on the front heaters.)
Symptom:
• It takes an excessively long time to boil water. (The indicators on the operation panel are normal.)
• The pot/pan intermittently stops heating up. (The indicators on the operation panel are normal.)
• The indicators on the operation panel disappear momentarily, or display intermittently. (Heating power starts/stops simultane-
ously with the blinking indicators.)
Note:
• If "C01" is displayed in this mode, the unit itself is not malfunctioning. This indicates that the power being supplied to it is abnor-
mal, either due to an incorrect supply voltage or a disturbance in the waveform, caused by electrical noise or for other reasons.
• OVD (Over Voltage Defense,) is a damping function that is activated to temporarily stop operations in order to prevent the inner
circuit of the IH cooktop from overheating.
Remedy:
• Ascertain the source of the power supply noise and remove it. (Refer to "Noise Incidents" - KAD0507001BE.)
1. Check if the electrical noise is being caused by other equipment in the house.
2. If the noise is a coming from an outside source, approach your power company for assistance.
