Remote commands
Turning on the answering
system remotely
If the answering system is off, you can
turn it on remotely.

Dial your phone number from a
touch-tone phone.

Let the phone ring 9 times.

A long beep is heard.

Enter your remote access code
within 10 seconds after the long
beep.

The greeting message is played
back.

You can either hang up, or enter
your remote access code again
and begin remote operation (page
37).

If the base unit is reset to its default
settings (page 24), the following
answering system-related settings will
be reset.

handset.

base unit is reset.
