Preparation
Battery information
After your batteries are fully charged:
•
Battery operating time may be shortened depending on usage conditions, such as:
— when viewing the Caller ID Caller List, or phonebook
— when talking in speakerphone mode and
— ambient temperature.
•
Clean the handset and the base unit charge contacts with a soft, dry cloth once a month.
Clean more often if the unit is subject to grease, dust or high humidity.
Otherwise the batteries
may not charge properly.
•
If the batteries are fully charged, you do not have to place the handset on the base unit until
“
” flashes. This will maximise the battery life.
•
The batteries cannot be overcharged.

Nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) rechargeable batteries (AA size) are available.
When you replace the batteries, you must program the battery type selection (see page 70).

Turning the Power ON

The current connected base unit number

unit number, handset number or no display
in the standby mode by programming (p. 64).

The number of new Caller ID calls received

After you set the date and time, the current
date/time will be displayed (p. 19).
To turn the power OFF

until a beep sounds.

The display will go blank.
•
The handset will not ring.

After all the possible configurations briefly
appear, the display will change to the following.
Then the handset is in the standby mode.
