4.3 Installing the Software

•

Even if not using application software for scanning, the Software / Manual CD

‑

ROM should be installed to

configure the scanner's settings.

•

When turning on the unit's power for the first time, the setup screen for selecting the language used on
the LCD will appear. After setting, touch the icon (

) to complete your selection.

•

You can change the language used on the LCD. For details, see "4.4.1 Changing the language used on
the LCD" (page 28).

•

When turning on the unit's power for the first time, the setup screen for setting the date and time will
appear. After setting, touch the icon (

) to complete your selection. For details, see "4.4.2 Changing

the date and time" (page 28).

Make sure to log on as an administrator to install the software.

The software on the enclosed Software / Manual CD-ROM can be installed on your computer.
You can select from the 2 installation methods below, depending on your needs.
