SAR (Specific Absorption Rates)
This product is a radio transmitter and receiver. When it is on,
it receives and transmits RF energy. When you are on a
phone call, the system handling your call controls the power
level at which the product transmits. This product is designed
not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves
recommended by international guidelines. These guidelines
were developed by the independent scientific organization
ICNIRP and include safety margins designed to assure the
protection of all persons, regardless of age and health.
The guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the
Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile
devices is 2 W/kg and the highest SAR value for this product
when tested at the ear was 0.546 W/kg
*1
.
For body-worn operation, this product has been tested and
meets RF exposure guidelines when used with an accessory
containing no metal and when the product is positioned a
minimum of 10 mm from the body. In this case, the highest
tested SAR value is 0.726 W/kg. Use of other accessories
may not ensure compliance with RF exposure guidelines. As
SAR is measured utilizing the product’s highest transmitting
power the actual SAR of this product while operating is
typically below that indicated above. This is due to automatic
