Taking Pictures using Macro Mode
When you take pictures from a distance closer
than 3.94 feet (120 cm) (Tele), set the camera in
macro mode [
]. This allows you to get closer
to the subject up to 0.16 feet (5 cm) (Wide).

Set the mode dial to Macro mode

Take a picture.
• The recording method is the same as in
“Taking Pictures”. (P28)
• Select the flash setting depending on the situation. (P35)
• The available flash range is about 0.98 feet (30 cm) - 6.86 feet (2.1 m). (when
setting to ISO100)
• When the shutter jiggle alert is displayed within the available flash range, we
recommend using the flash.
• When the camera lens is at a distance over the available range from the subject,
focus may not be adjusted even if the focus indication appears.
