Turn your computer on.

At start up, press

Input the following command.

The message [Do you wish to enable large disk support (Y/N) ..... ?] will be dis-
played. Press

When [FDISK Options] is displayed, enter 5 for [5. Change current fixed disk drive]
and then press

When [Change Current Fixed Disk Drive] is displayed, enter 2 for [Enter Fixed Disk
Drive Number (1-2)] and then press

When [FDISK Options] is displayed, enter 1 for [1. Create DOS partition or Logical
DOS Drive] and then press

When [Create DOS Partition or Logical DOS Drive] is displayed, enter 1 for [1.
Create Primary DOS Partition] and then press

When [Create Primary DOS Partition] is displayed, follow the on-screen instructions.

An indication to restart the computer will be displayed. Press

The computer will restart.

Select [My Computer].

Click [D:]
(or the drive letter of a newly created drive)
with the right button
and select [Format].

Select [Full] for [Format type] and then select [Start].

At the confirmation message, select [OK].
Follow the on-screen instructions.

When the operation completes, be sure to select [Start] - [Shut Down] and restart the
computer before using the second hard disk.

If necessary, run SCANDISK to check the hard disk.
Windows NT

Turn your computer on.
Be sure to log on with the authority of an administrator.

Select [Disk Administrator] in [Start] - [Programs] - [Administrative Tools (Common)]
If the message [Configuration information about the missing disk(s) will be
retained] is displayed, select [OK].

The message [System configuration will now be updated] will be displayed. Select [OK].
If [Confirm] is displayed, select [Yes].

When [Disk Administrator] is displayed, click [Disk 1] with the right button and then
select [Create].

Specify the partition size and then select [OK].
If [Confirm] is displayed, select [Yes].

Close the [Disk Administrator].
