DVD-RAM Software
Windows Vista
Windows Vista includes a standard software for formatting a DVD-RAM and writing to a
DVD-RAM. When a DVD-RAM needs to be physically formatted or when a write protect
of the DVD-RAM needs to be set or released, install this software.
Windows XP
Use this software to write data to DVD-RAM through Explorer.
After installing “DVD-RAM Software”, you can use a DVD-RAM disc.

Installing DVD-RAM Software
Windows Vista

Log on to Windows as an administrator.

Set “DVD Drive Utility Disc” in the drive.

At the [AutoPlay] message screen, click
to close it.

Click
(Start) and input [x:\vista\ramdrvrv\setup.exe] *

in [Start Search], and press
Enter
.

“x” is the drive letter. You can change the letter to suit your preference.

Click [Allow] in [User Account Control].

Click [Driver and Formatter Setup].

At the welcome screen, click [Next].

The License Agreement screen appears. Carefully read the agreement, then click [Yes].

At [Choose Destination Location] screen, do not change the setting, and click [Next].

At [Select Program Folder] screen, do not change the setting, and click [Next].

At [Start Copying Files] screen, click [Next].

After installation, add a check mark for [Yes, I want to restart my computer now], then
click [Finish].
The computer will restart automatically.
Windows XP

Log on to Windows as an administrator.

Set “DVD Drive Utility Disc” in the drive.

At the confirmation message, click [OK].
[Utility Setup tool] screen will appear (allow some time for disc recognition).
When the setup program will not run automatically, input [x:\setuputil.exe]*

in [start]
- [Run] and click [OK].
