Chapter 7 Maintenance — Recharging the internal battery
Recharging the internal battery
The internal battery maintains the date and time set in the IPU.
If the IPU is left for about 6 months without turning the power on, the internal battery may be depleted.
The internal battery is depleted if
［ BACKUP BATT EMPTY ］ is displayed on the output screen of the 〈 HD SDI OUT 2 〉 terminal when the 〈 POWER 〉
switch of the IPU is set to （ l ） (on).
Use the following procedure to recharge the internal battery.
When the internal battery is depleted, the date and time settings are reset to initial values, so reset to the current time and date in

. The

BACKUP BATT EMPTY
］
display disappears after resetting.

The internal battery is recharges in about 4 hours after the power is turned on.

Turn the power OFF then ON to confirm that ［ BACKUP BATT EMPTY ］ is not displayed on the output screen of the 〈 HD SDI OUT 2 〉
terminal.
If ［ BACKUP BATT EMPTY ］ is still displayed on the output screen of the 〈 HD SDI OUT 2 〉 terminal after recharging, the internal battery needs to be
replaced. Contact the place of purchase for assistance.
