Maintenance and Service

Maintenance and Cleaning

► Before any work on the machine itself, pull

the mains plug.

► For safe and proper working, always keep

the machine and ventilation slots clean.

► Clean the cooling fins of the motor and electronic

system on a regular basis.

Once work has been completed, the clamping devices
must be disassembled and the machine cleaned

The machine must then be sent to an after-sales
service agent. Addresses are listed in the Section
“After- sales service and customer assistance”.

If the machine should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an after-sales service
centre for Pallmann GmbH power tools.

In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the article number
specified on the type plate of the machine.

Trouble shooting

Functioning of the electronic speed control:

By turning the control, the target speed can be set from
50  to  400  rpm.  When  under  extreme  load,  e.g.  when
using  abrasive  gauze  on  cork  with  additional  weight,
the machine reduces its speed automatically.

The machine switches off automatically in the
event of overloading.

The LED (18) flashes in varying intervals.

... Overload:

The machine has been extremely overloaded.
The machine can be restarted after some seconds.

... Electronics overheated:

The machine can be restarted when the LED stops
flashing. This indicates that the electronics have
cooled and the machine is operational.

...Motor overheated:

The machine can be restarted when the LED stops
flashing. This indicates that the motor has cooled and
the machine is operational

To remove load from the machine, detach the additional
weight and/or reduce the speed.
