8 MAINTENANCE
AND
CLEANING
8.1 SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS
Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning, take
the following precautions:
A) Ensure that all parts of the wood insert are
completely cold.
B) Ensure that embers are completely extinguished.
C) Use individual safety gear as set forth by directive
89/391/EEC.
D) Always use appropriate tools for maintenance.
Maintenance must be carried out by a specialised
assistance centre or by quali
¿
ed personnel.
8.2 CLEANING
The cleaning of the external part of the stove must be
executed only with a dry cloth not abrasive. Do not use
detergents.
8.3
REMOVING ASHES FROM THE FIREPLACE
The stove requires simple but frequent and careful
cleaning to guarantee ef
¿
cient performance and regular
operation at all times.

Open the door;
•
remove any coals and ashes from the
¿
replace using
a m etallic shovel;
•
remove the ash from the ash collection tank, using
an appropriate ash suction system;
•
close the door.
8.4
CLEANING THE GLASS
During operation of the wood insert it is possible to
facilitate the cleaning of the glass ceramic through
the pawl without having to open the door (Figure
7.5).
