You can set the ES Alarm Thres (threshold) to a count of 17 or 170 seconds. This

The DS0 Chan (channel) Slots option can be set to ALT (alternating) or CONT
(contiguous). If the DS0 Chan Slots setting is ALT, customer data is transported on alternating
sequential timeslots 1, 3, 5...23 (timeslots 2, 4, 6...24 are not used). If the DS0 Chan Slots setting is
CONT, customer data is transported on contiguous sequential timeslots 1,2,3...12 (timeslots 13
through 24 are not used). The default is CONT.
1
Press <C> in the System Settings menu.
The DS0 Chan Slots option changes to the next available setting.
2

18.9.1
Data Applications.
ALT is the recommended setting for data applications. This setting prevents
ones density violations from occurring when installed in D4 channel banks configured for AMI. Use
of CONT may allow ones density violations to occur, resulting in possible interference to all 24 DS0
time slots and possible loss of frame sync. This also initiates a Multiplexer Out of Sync (MOOS)
condition with loss of customer data in all 24 DS0 time slots, until frame sync is re-acquired.
18.9.2
Voice Applications.
CONT is the recommended setting for voice channels or with D4 channel
banks configured for B8ZS.
