12. Using the Mode and Choice Setup Buttons
12.1
Option Settings.
The Mode and Choice Setup buttons are used to set the system options from the
front panel. Table 9 lists the system options and defines each of the modes and settings. Options are
listed in the sequence in which they appear in the front panel LCD. Table 10 lists the four-digit LCD
messages. The front panel LCD has a maximum display of four digits, thus the first part of a
two-part message blinks for one second followed by the second part of the message.
The following three user options cannot be set using front panel Mode and Choice
Setup buttons, but must be set using the Maintenance Terminal menus: Circuit ID,
Margin Alarm Threshold, and Signaling.
