CAUTION:

Be sure to unplug this

appliance and allow it to cool down
before cleaning. To protect against
electrical shock, do not immerse cord,
plug or unit in water or liquid. After
each use, always make sure the plug is
first removed from power outlet.

1.

Clean all detachable parts after
each use with hot water and soap.

2.

Wipe the appliance’s exterior
surface with a soft, damp cloth to
remove stains.

3.

Water droplets may buildup in the
area above the funnel and drip onto
the appliance base during brewing.
To control the dripping, wipe off the
area with a clean, dry cloth after
each use.

4.

Never use abrasive cleaners to
clean it.

Removing Mineral Deposits

To keep your coffee maker operating
efficiently, you should clean the mineral
deposits left by the water.

Follow these directions:

1.

Fill the water tank with water
and descaler to the MAX level
in the proportion of 4 to 1 (Use a
“household descaler”, and refer to
the instructions on package of the
descaler. You can also use citric
acid instead of descaler).

2.

Put the glass carafe on the warming
plate. Ensure that the centre line
of glass carafe aligns with that of
funnel.

3.

Press the “Start/Pause” button
once. After a while, water will drip
out automatically.

4.

After brewing the equivalent of one
cup, switch off the appliance by
pressing the “Start/Pause” button
once again.

5.

Leave the solution to work for 15
minutes.

6.

Repeat steps 3–5 again. Brew the
remaining solution until the water
tank is completely empty.

7.

To remove solution, brew with water
only (no ground coffee) at least 3
times.
