Note: Installation requires that an electrical outlet be installed into existing fireplace
cavity before insert is installed.
To make the required electrical and gas connections start by positioning the gas insert
within the existing fireplace. Connect the gas supply line to the 1/2
” flex tubing that extends
out of the unit as seen in Figure 23. Please see the gas supply section of the manual for
requirements of the gas supply. Next, plug the power cord into the unit as shown in Figure
23 and plug them into the electrical outlet within the existing fireplace cavity.
NOTE: The appliance, when installed must be electrically grounded in accordance
with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the National Electrical
Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, or the Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.1.
