SECTION 2 – OPERATION
Assure that unit is OFF. Attach type K probe and install battery (if none is present). The switch
position to the left is OFF; center position is ON in the LOW RANGE and to the right is ON in
the HIGH RANGE. Hold the probe tip at the location to be measured. The K-type thermocouple
is located at the tip. If the temperature being measured is over range (see SPECIFICATIONS), a
“1” will be displayed with the other digits blinking.
NOTE: On both units “LO BATT” indicates a low battery. Change (or charge) the battery.
