PARENTAL CONTROL PIN-CODE
A parental control
PIN-Code
is supplied with your
smartcard. You will need this to unlock the
programme so that you can watch it.
We recommend that you change this PIN-Code to
one you will easily remember but be able to keep
secret (see page 27).
UNLOCKING A LOCKED PROGRAMME
When you see the message shown on the previous
page, press the
OK
button, then use the
number
buttons on your remote control to enter the four
digits of your PIN-Code (stars will appear instead
of the numbers).
If you make a mistake while entering your PIN-
Code, press the
L
button to delete one or more
digits.
NOTE: Take care while entering your PIN-Code. If
you enter it incorrectly three times in a row, you
will not be able to enter any PIN-Code for a further
10 minutes.
When you have entered all four digits correctly,
press the
OK
button.
The programme should now appear on the screen
so that you can see and hear it.
IMPORTANT: The programme will remain
unlocked even if you change channel and then go
back again to your unlocked programme.
REMOVING THE MESSAGE AND CHANGING TO A
DIFFERENT CHANNEL
If you do not want to unlock a locked programme,
or if you do not know the PIN-Code, you can still
change channel to a different channel. Either use
the
P +
or
P –
buttons, or use the
number
buttons
to enter a different channel number.
RELOCKING UNLOCKED PROGRAMMES
To relock any programmes you have unlocked,
press the
Standby
(
S
) button on your remote
control to put your set-top box into standby, then
press the
Standby
(
S
) button again to bring it out
of standby. The programmes are then relocked.
