Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible cause
Solution
Insufficient water power
Not enough pressure in the
high-pressure cleaner.
Ensure that the high-pressure
cleaner has at least 2,000 psi.
The most effective cleaning is
achieved with a pressure of
2,500–4,000 psi.
Insufficient water supply.
Increase the water supply
and/or clean the high-pressure
cleaner’s water filter. Ensure
that the unit supplies at least 10
l/minute.
The high pressure cleaner’s rpm
is too low.
Apply more throttle.
Nozzle is blocked or worn.
Clean or replace.
Incorrect nozzle fitted.
Fit the correct nozzle.
The rotary arm does not rotate. The bushing makes it operate a
little stiffly to begin with.
Normal during the running-in
period.
The lock ring has become loose. Do not use the equipment!
Contact supplier.
The seal is defective.
Do not use the equipment!
Contact supplier.
The bearing is defective.
Do not use the equipment!
Contact supplier.
Abnormal vibration in the
vehicle undercarriage cleaner
or
the spray casing suction action
is causing the spray casing to
stick the surface.
The nozzle is clogged.
Clean or replace.
The rotary arm, bolts or joints
are loose.
Tighten.
The rotary arm or rotor is bent. Replace.
Striped cleaning pattern.
Insufficient water supply or the
psi of the high-pressure cleaner
is too low (the rotary arm will
not rotate).
Increase the water supply or
ensure that the pressure is at
least 2,000 psi and that at the
flow is at least 10 l/minute.
The nozzle is clogged.
Clean or replace.
Cleaning too fast.
Reduce speed of cleaning.
Water dripping from the swivel
joint.
It is normal for some water to
escape from the swivel joint.
No further action required.
Water spraying from the swivel
joint.
The seal is defective.
Replace.
