Safety warnings
•
All users must ensure they understand how to operate all of the controls of the
machine and how to stop the engine quickly in case of emergency. Always make sure
the user receives adequate instruction before operation.
•
Do not allow children or anyone else who is not big enough or strong enough to safely
handle the mower to operate this machine.
•
Keep children and pets away from the mowing area when operating the machine. Do
not carry passengers.
•
The engine’s exhaust contains carbon monoxide, which is poisonous. Do not run the
engine without proper ventilation and never operate it indoors.
•
Only use the machine in daylight.
•
Make sure the parking brake is “ON” and the blade switch is “OFF” before attempting to
start the engine.
•
Always be extra cautious when driving on slopes. Avoid steep slopes and use extreme
caution when changing direction or speed when operating on a slope. Never mow on
wet grass. Reduced traction could cause the machine to slide.
•
Do not mow near steep drops, ditches or embankments. The mower could suddenly
turn over if a wheel goes over the edge.
•
Watch for traffic when crossing surfaces other than grass, e.g. transporting,
loading/unloading.
•
Never operate the mower with faulty or missing guards, shields or safety devices.
•
Never direct discharge of material toward bystanders nor allow anyone near the
mower while in operation.
•
Do not change the engine factory settings or overspeed the engine.
•
Always stop the engine and move the parking brake lever to “ON” whenever you leave
the mower, even for a moment.
•
To help reduce the risk of fire, keep the engine and the area around the engine free of
grass and other foreign material.
•
Beware of the rotation of the blades. The rotation of one blade may cause the other
blades to rotate.
•
Do not store the mower with the ejection cover in the raised position. This could cause
serious injury.
•
If the mower will be used for a long period of time, we recommend that the operator
wears ear protection and safety gloves to avoid injury from noise and vibration.
•
Always read the user manual before using the machine.
