Safety
Before using the equipment, ensure that you have read the user manual thoroughly.
Ensure that you are completely familiar with the functions and how the machine is
operated correctly, and that all of the safety instructions are followed.
•
The user must be 18 years of age or older.
•
The machine must be positioned on a level and stable surface.
•
The user must wear safety gloves, ear defenders and safety goggles.
•
The wood chipper may only be used outdoors since exhaust gases are hazardous
when inhaled.
•
Never let the machine operate unsupervised.
•
The replacement of the blades and counterknive and the checking of blade bolts may
only be carried out after the engine and rotor are stopped and have come to a
complete standstill, and after the sparkplug has been removed.
•
After one hour of use, tighten all of the bolts and nuts.
•
Exercise extreme caution in respect of the machine’s rotary blades.
•
Do not put hands or feet into the machine when it is operating.
•
Never operate the woodchipper if you are under the influence of alcohol, medicine or
drugs.
•
Never attempt to fit or remove different parts when the machine is operating.
•
Always keep children, animals or bystanders away from the working area.
•
Do not touch the machine’s exhaust when in use or immediately after use as the
exhaust can become very hot.
•
Pay particular attention to ensuring that metal, stone, glass or other foreign bodies do
not enter the machine.
•
If the machine becomes noisy or vibrates, stop the machine. Examine the machine for
damage or loose parts and remedy the problem before re-starting the machine.
•
Thicker branches should be fed into the woodchipper more slowly compared to
thinner branches.
•
If the wood chipper becomes blocked, stop the engine before removing the stump.
•
Ensure that the guards remain on the machine – they are there for your protection.
•
Stop the woodchipper engine before transporting the woodchipper.
