Starting the engine
1.
Check that all of the electrical equipment is disconnected.
2.
Set the fuel cock to "ON".
3.
Set the choke to the correct position. (NB: When starting a warm engine,
set the choke to the “NO CHOKE” position).
4.
Set the engine’s “RUN” switch to the “ON” position.
5.
Grasp and pull the cord slowly until you feel resistance. Let the cord return slowly
and then pull fast throughout the length of the arm. Then let the cord return
slowly in the engine.
6.
Once the engine starts, set the choke arm to half-open, until the engine operates
smoothly and then set it to the “NO CHOKE” position.
7.
If the engine does not start, repeat the procedure from point 3. If the engine still
does not start, refer to the “troubleshooting” section.
Using the generator
1.
Ensure that the generator is positioned on a level surface.
2.
Let the engine warm up (approx. three minutes).
3.
Connect the appliances to the power outlet (exercise caution: the generator’s
wattage output must not be exceeded).
4.
Always comply with the instructions for the equipment that is being used.
5.
If the engine rpm is too high this is dangerous and increases the risk of personal
injury and/or damage to equipment. The generator supplies only the correct
frequency and voltage when it operates at the correct rpm. The wrong frequency
and/or voltage can damage the connected equipment.
Stopping the engine
1.
Switch off the electrical equipment and disconnect it.
2.
Let the engine operate for a few minutes.
3.
Switch off the engine by turning the engine’s “RUN” switch to “OFF”.
4.
Close the fuel cock.
