If the machine is used outdoors, electrical installations must be protected against
splashes and must not be immersed in water.
•
Extension cables must have sufficient thickness and cable reels must be fully unrolled.
How to use the garden pump
Risk of damage to the machine!
The pump must be filled with water each time it is connected or in the event of
water loss or air intake. Prolonged operation without filling with water (dry running
without supervision) will damage the pump.
1.
Before using the garden pump, ensure that the electrical connection is correct.
2.
Before switching on the garden pump, it must be filled with water. Unscrew the filling
plug and fill the pump housing completely. Screw the cover back on.
3.
The garden pump must not be used without a check valve on the suction hose
. The
check valve must close tightly so that the water cannot flow back into the well, etc.
Without a check valve, the garden pump will constantly start and stop, which can cause
the motor to burn out.
4.
Before connecting the garden pump, the tank must be pressurised. This is done by
running the tap until no more water comes out. Next, open the black cover at the end
of the tank opposite the hose. Below this is a valve (like for a car). Pump in air until you
reach a pressure of 1.8-2 bar. The pressure should then be checked approximately
every six months (always remember to switch off the power before performing these
checks).
5.
The garden pump must never be started with the suction line closed.
6.
If the temperature drops below 0 °C, the garden pump must be completely drained of
water through the bottom plug and protected from frost.
7.
If the garden pump is not used for a long time, it must be completely drained of water.
8.
The pipes must be placed in such a way that weight and possible vibrations do not
weigh down and affect the garden pump.
9.
The suction hose connections must be completely tight to prevent air bubbles, which
can damage the pump functions.
10.
The garden pump may only be used for clean water. The water must be free of solid
particles and have a maximum temperature of 35 °C.
11.
Unplug the cable before starting maintenance on the garden pump.
12.
Avoid dry running the pump. Always have enough water available for refilling.
