Operation
•
Set the splitting table as close as possible to the desired splitting length. Either
59 cm, 85 cm or 135 cm.
•
Apply a thin layer of grease on the tower so that it moves easily.
•
Lay the extension cable so that it is not in the way, will not be damaged or get
trapped when the log splitter is in use.
•
Remember to loosen the hydraulic reservoir filler plug before using the log
splitter to allow any air can escape. When you have finished, screw the cover on
again.
•
Pay attention to the direction of rotation of
the motor. When the motor starts, the tower
moves automatically to the highest position.
If the tower is already in the top position:
Grab both control levers and press them
down. The tower should start to move
downwards.
Important: If the tower does
not move, stop the motor immediately.
This is an indication that the motor is
running the wrong way and the pump
may be destroyed. The plug on the log
splitter is fitted with a phase transformer. Turn it half a turn with a screwdriver.
•
If the log splitter is to be used in very cold temperatures, you should let it run
for approx. 15 minutes to preheat the hydraulic oil.
•
Before starting to split logs, check that two-hand operation is working.
1.
Press both control levers down and the tower will move down to approx. 5 cm
above the top table position.
2.
Release one lever and the tower will stay in the same position.
3.
Release both control levers and the tower should rise automatically to the top
position.
