2.  FUEL & OIL

Motor fuel: mix at 40:1 fuel to oil ratio

Note: 

Only use oil that is expressly labelled for use with air-cooled 

2-stroke engines.

Note: 

Always transport and store fuels in 

an approved container (supplied bottle is 

for mixing only).

1.   Fill with unleaded petrol up to fuel line.

2.   Add 2-stroke oil up to oil line. Shake 

sufficiently for a thorough mix.

3.   Fill the fuel tank up to the filler 

neck with the fuel mix.

  Fuel tank capacity: 330ml

4.   Fasten the fuel tank cap and clean any 

spillage.

3.  STARTING & STOPPING

OPERATION

Cold starting 

1.   Set the equipment down on a hard, 

level surface and set the choke lever 

to “ ”. 

2.   Press the priming bulb up to  

10 times until the bulb is full. 

4.   Hold the hedge trimmer firmly and pull out the recoil starter until you 

feel it start to resist. Pull firmly on the recoil starter 4 times. The hedge 

trimmer should start.

5.   Once the engine has started,  

allow the equipment to warm  

up for 10 seconds.

6.   Hold down the safety switch and 

actuate the throttle lever once to 

disable the choke.

The hedge trimmer has a centrifical clutch which will deactivate once 

it reaches a faster speed.

3.   Set the On/Off switch to 

“On (I)”.

 WARNING!:

 

BE SURE TO STOP THE ENGINE BEFORE 

REFUELLING. DO NOT SMOKE WHILE REFUELLING. 

MOVE AT LEAST 3M AWAY FROM THE FUELLING POINT 

BEFORE STARTING THE MOTOR.

Pre-startup checks

1.   Ensure that the blade cover has been removed and the rotating handle 

is secured into the desired position.

2.   Ensure that there is sufficient fuel/oil mix in the tank before starting the 

engine.
