1.  Turn the depth adjustment handle to

raise the blade and allow sufficient

space for the workpiece.

2.  Place the workpiece below the blade

and lower the blade to the surface of the

workpiece.

3.  Without adjusting the height, remove

the workpiece. Then lower the blade

to the desired planing depth.

4.  Start the machine and gently feed the

workpiece into the machine using the

provided push stick.

WARNING!

ALWAYS USE THE PUSH STICK PROVIDED

INSTEAD OF YOUR HANDS TO FEED THE WORKPIECE.

WARNING!

DO NOT FORCE THE WORKPIECE INTO THE

THICKNESSER. THE MACHINE AUTOMATICALLY PULLS

THE WORKPIECE.

Planing Tips

• The length of the workpiece should not be less than 153mm

long.

• The thickness of workpiece should not be less than 6mm +

desired planing depth.

• Do not remove more than 3mm of material at a time.

• When working with hardwood, do not remove more than 2.5mm

at a time to avoid overloading the machine.

• Removing material gradually over several passes will result in a

smoother surface finish.

• The surface finish can be affected by the hardness, moisture

and fibre content of the timber. The blade sharpness, machining

direction and planing depth can also affect the surface finish.

• Feed material into the machine along the grain where possible

for best results.

• Always test any adjustments on scrap pieces of timber before

attempting on your workpiece.

• If not working in well ventilated areas, connect a dust extraction

unit, such as a vacuum cleaner, to the dust extraction port to

create a cleaner work environment. Use the dust extraction

adapter if required.

OPERATION

Adjusting The Planing Depth

The planing depth can be raised or lowered 1.5mm with every

full rotation of the handle.

Always test the setting on a scrap

workpiece first.

1.  Turn the depth adjustment

handle and use the planing

thickness guide to determine

the required height.

Switching The Tool On/Off

1.  Press the “i” button to start the machine.

2.  Press the “0” button to stop the machine.

Overcurrent Protection

If the planing material gets stuck, the tool is overloaded or there is

a short, the overcurrent protection will automatically shut off the

machine to prevent damage.

Follow the steps below to reset the machine after an overload.

1.  Press the “0” button to ensure the machine

does not start up again unexpectedly, then

disconnect the power supply to the machine.

2.  Push the overload reset button and allow

the machine to cool down.

3.  Remove any jammed material or loose debris that may have

caused the overload.

4.  Restart the machine normally and resume use.

WARNING!

DO NOT CONTINUE USING THE TOOL IF

THE OVERCURRENT PROTECTION ACTIVATES AGAIN

IMMEDIATELY ON RESTART.
