Warning!
Before assembly, make sure that the tool is switched off
and unplugged.
Fitting the safety guard
1. Align the 4 screw holes in the safety guard (9)
with the screw holes in the base of the motor
housing (13).
2. Place the 4 screws through the guard followed
by the motor housing and tighten with a Phillips
head screwdriver (Fig. 1).
Fitting the secondary handle
1. Remove the handle locking knob (6) and bolt
from the secondary handle (14).
2. Place the secondary handle (14) over the top
section of the telescopic shaft until it clicks into
position (Fig. 2).
3. Pass the bolt through the holes at the base of
the secondary handle (14) (Fig. 3).
4. Screw the locking knob (6) onto the bolt, do not
fully tighten (Fig. 4).
5. Adjust the secondary handle to the most
comfortable position and tighten the locking
knob (6). Do not overtighten.
Telescopic shaft adjustment
1. The line trimmer shaft can be adjusted to suit the
height of the operator.
2. Push the telescopic shaft latch (7) forward and
whilst holding the latch forward adjust the shaft
up or down to the appropriate position (Fig. 5).
3. Release the telescopic shaft latch (7) once
adjustment is complete.
Extension cord support
There is a cord retainer located below the on/off
switch which is used as an extension cord retention
device. To avoid detaching the extension cord always check that it is attached
firmly during use.
