OPERATION (cont.)
4. Ensure that the blade cover is removed from the line
cutting blade (11). The cutting blade is used to
control the length of the line.
Winding new line onto a spool
You may wind new cutting line onto an empty spool.
Cutting line is available from any Bunnings Warehouse.
Only use cutting line that is 1.6mm in diameter, using
different diameter line can result in poor performance
and damage the motor.
1. Remove the empty spool from the line trimmer as described in "Replacing the
spool & line".
2. Remove any remaining cutting line from the spool.
3. Divide the line evenly so you find the half-way point
and cut it in half.
4. Place each end of the cutting line through the hole
at the top of the spool and loop it around into the
other hole to lock it into place (Fig. 12).
5. Wind the cutting line onto the spool, ensure you
wind the line on neatly and in layers (Fig. 13). Do
not cross the line as this will stop it from feeding.
6. Holding the line trimmer upside down fit the spring
into the spool housing assembly.
7. Thread the ends of the line through the eyelets in
the spool housing.
8. Push the spool and spool cover back into the spool
housing until they click into position.
9. Ensure that the blade cover is removed from the line cutting blade (12). The
cutting blade is used to control the length of the line.
• Keep the ventilation vents of the tool clean at all times, if possible, prevent foreign
matter from entering the vents.
• After each use, blow air through the tool housing to ensure it is free from all dust
particles which may build up. Build up of dust particles may cause the tool to
overheat and fail.
• If the enclosure of the tool requires cleaning do not use solvents but a moist soft
cloth only. Never let any liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the
tool into a liquid.
• No lubrication is required as bearings are sealed.
• Store in a cool, dry place after use
Note:
Ozito Industries will not be responsible for any damage or injuries caused by
the repair of the tool by an unauthorised person or by mishandling of the tool.
