Fuel

Only Bio ethanol (methylated spirits) with at least 95% alcohol content should be used.   
The container should be marked with the international standard “Ethanol Solution UN 1170”. 
This can be purchased from hardware stores, supermarkets etc in one, four and twenty litre 
containers. The one litre containers are the easiest to use.

Filling the burner

We recommend that you remove the burner from the fireplace and fill it outdoors, to reduce 
any spillage  hazard. Fill the burner in the fireplace using a funnel. We recommend you use an 
Ozflame™ funnel which is purpose designed to fit in all burner models and will make filling much 
easier and safer. The funnel can be purchased as an accessory code OZF 550

important:  
• Fill the burner to a minimum of 1/3 capacity and a maximum of 2/3 full.   
• Do not completely fill the burner.  
• Do not fill the burner while it is still hot.  
• clean up all spillage before lighting.
