TROUBLE SHOOTING

Possible Causes Suggested Solution
DC DC Charger does
not work?
No Indicator
lights on
- DC Input / Output
connection issue.
- ON/OFF
connection issue.
- Check both the input and
output are connected and the
ON /OFF connection has power
applied (12V/IGN)
DC DC Charger has
no DC output?
No Indicator
lights on
or Red LED 8
is ON
- Loose / bad
connection to the
battery
-Input or Output
fuses are blown
- Check that the input and
output are connected to the
correct polarity.
- Check for Loose connections
- Check the ON/OFF connection
has 12V (IGN)
No charging current? Fault Red LED
8 is ON
- Battery is severely
sulphated
- Battery has a
damaged cell
- Overheat
protection mode
- Check the battery condition,
age etc.
- Battery may need replacement.
- Move battery & charger to a
cooler environment.
The battery will not
charge.
Fault Red LED
8 is ON
or
LED 8 is
Flashing
- Battery Ah
capacity too large
for the battery
charger and it has
time out
- Battery is
defective
- Battery is severely
sulphated
- Check the charger
specifications match the battery
capacity. Eg. make sure battery
capacity is not too big for the
charger.
- Battery may need replacement.
