3. OPERATING THE SYSTEM
3.2 Button functions
Button Function
COUNTRY
Particularly after moving the vehicle over a greater distance, the time the antenna needs to find a
satellite can be reduced by selecting the corresponding country.
Press COUNTRY to open the "Select Location" menu. This menu contains 47 European countries.
The country setting enables the automatic SKEW function, if this option was ordered. If you did not
order the automatic SKEW option,see section "Reception in remote areas" (page 40).
PARK
Press the PARK button to retract the antenna. This may be useful e.g. in a storm. The TV remains
active for use with external devices.
STOP
The STOP button stops the antenna in any position.
Notice: If you wish to keep your antenna unfolded, eg. when using a secondary TV, press the
STOP button and switch off the "Oyster® TV" within 15 seconds by pressing POWER.
START
The START button will start the "Automatic Search". The system will search the satellite it was
aimed at last. The START button cancels the function of the STOP button and the PARK button.
To change the transponder frequency, press START, PARK, START, PARK, START in precisely this
sequence.
Please note:
The STOP / PARK / START button is not required during normal operation. These buttons can be used to manually
adjust the antenna orientation.
