Rinse thoroughly. The thermal carafe is not dishwasher safe.
• Coffee oil stains in the carafe may be removed by placing a small amount of
dishwasher detergent and water in carafe and allowing it to soak overnight.
The brew basket, Rainmaker
TM
showerhead, silicone water bridge, carafe lid,
coffee scoop and mixing tube are removable and top-rack dishwasher safe.
WARNING:
Never immerse the Coffee Maker, power cord or plug
in water. Do not allow liquid to come in contact with power cord
or plug.
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use alkaline
cleaning agents, abrasive pads, harsh chemicals or spray cleaner
chemicals when cleaning. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent if desired.
Scale is a naturally occurring buildup of mineral deposits. The ideal descaling cycle
depends on water hardness. The Coffee Maker will remind you to descale by displaying
the
icon and descale mode every 90 cycles, but you can manually descale in between.
Regular descaling can also increase the service life of the Coffee Maker, allowing it to heat
water faster with less energy.
YOUR COFFEE MAKER WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY IF IT IS NOT DESCALED REGULARLY.
The warranty is voided if descaling is not carried out in accordance with these instructions.
