7.2 Preliminary work for
incremental heating test
Carry out an incremental heating test to check
the correct function of the surface temperature
balance.
NOTICE
Damage to the screed as a re-
sult of incorrect temperatures!

Carry out incremental heating tests
of concrete and calcium sulphate
screed according to DIN EN 1264-
4.
f
Observe the instructions of the
screed manufacturer.
f
Adapt the flow temperature to the
surface temperature balance.
f
Do not exceed the screed tem-
peratures near the heating pipes
specified as per DIN EN 1264-4.
Apply screed suitable for heating systems after
plastering.
Start the incremental heating test at the earli-
est:
•
21 days after laying of concrete screed
•
7 days after laying calcium sulphate screed
7.3 Incremental heating test
Proceed as follows during the incremental
heating test:
1. Open the valve fully by turning the grey
protection cap approx. once and set the
black handwheel to the maximum set
value.
Control the flow temperature using
the heat generator control.
2.
Heat up to a flow temperature between
20 °C and 25 °C for a minimum of 3 days.
3. Then heat at maximum design temperature
for a minimum of 4 days.
7.4 Installation of thermostat with
remote control
1.
After completing all building work, remove
the “Unibox TQ RTL vario” protection
cover.
2. Remove the protection cap.
3.
Screw the control piston (see
(2)) onto the valve. Direct the
capillary downwards.
The capillary must not be kinked.
