3.2 Functional description
The dirt separator features a wire mesh and a ma-
gnet on the inside of the housing. Dirt particles are
slowed down by the wire mesh with the result that
they sink to the bottom. Magnetic particles are ad-
ditionally retained by magnets. There is no specifi ed
direction of fl ow for the fl uid.
