20L & 10L Portable Toilet

Please read before use and retain for future reference

The portable toilet consists of two tanks that can easily be connected and disconnected from each

other. The top section holds the freshwater tank and a toilet bowl with a seat and lid. The lower section

is the waste holding tank. The 20L Portable Toilet has a 20 liter waste tank and the 10L Portable Toilet

has a 10 liter waste tank.

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using toilet chemicals.

Prepare for use

1)  Open the two locking levers at each side of the toilet to disconnect the two tanks.

2)  Turn the waste tank (lower section) to stand upright and remove the filler cap. Fill the waste tank

with the recommended amount of toilet chemical and water following the instructions of the toilet

chemical manufacturer. Replace the filler cap to close the waste tank.

3)  Remove the filler cap from the freshwater tank (top section) and fill with freshwater. Rinse chemi-

cal can be added to the freshwater if required but remember to follow the instructions of the rinse

chemical manufacturer. Toilet waste chemical can damage the seals and should never be used in the

freshwater tank. Replace the filler cap to close the freshwater tank.

4)  Replace the top section with the freshwater tank on top of the waste tank and fasten the locking

levers to reconnect the two tanks.

Use

1)  To release any pressure that may have built up from heat or altitude, close the toilet lid and open the

slide valve. Open the valve by pulling the valve handle away from the toilet. The toilet can be used

with the valve open or closed.

2)   Flush water in to the toilet by pressing the bellows pump.

Open the valve after use (if closed) and flush the toilet by pressing the bellows pump. Three or four

short flushes are more effective than a long continuous flush. Shut the valve by pushing the valve

handle back towards the toilet.

Empty after use

•  Disconnect the waste tank from the top section and turn the waste tank to stand upright and remove

the cap. Empty the waste tank at an authorized disposal point or in to a normal toilet. Rinse the tank

with fresh water. To use the toilet again, repeat the preparation for use.

• Empty and clean the waste tank.

•  The caps should not be replaced and the valve should be left open, allowing the toilet to dry.

Cleaning and maintenance

Only use toilet chemicals specifically designed for use in portable toilets. Never use household chemi-

cals as it can cause damage to the toilet.

A damp cloth can be used to clean the toilet. Be careful not to use an abrasive cleaner as it might

scratch the surface of the toilet. Clean the seals and valve blade. It is possible to lubricate with a seal

lubricant if necessary.

Transportation

When transporting the toilet over widely varying altitudes it is recommended to keep the valve slightly

open and the lid closed during transportation.

Storage

• Before storing the toilet, empty the freshwater tank.

• Press the bellows pump a few times to ensure that no water remains in the flush mechanism.

Safety

• Do not allow children to play with the toilet.

• Keep the toilet away from sharp objects that could pierce the tanks.

• Do not use the toilet lid as a back rest.

•  Do not tip the toilet upside down. The toilet should always be kept upright except for when preparing

the toilet for use and emptying the waste tank.
