9.14.1 Removing/installing the protective pads
The protective pads can be removed for cleaning.
1) Open the hook-and-loop closures and remove the protective pads (illustration see previous section).

After cleaning (see Page 37):
Secure the protective pads on the wheelchair again, respectively with the
hook-and-loop fasteners to prevent slipping.
9.15 Additional options
The product may be equipped with additional options.
The options are firmly mounted to the product by qualified personnel or the manufacturer and are pre-adjusted by
qualified personnel at delivery.

When transporting the wheelchair in vehicles, fold it up and remove the wheels and leg supports if necessary.

Follow the IATA (International Air Transport Association) rules and those of the relevant airline when trans
porting the wheelchair in an aircraft. Inform the airline several days before your flight. Use the SSR (special
service request) codes to describe the type of limited mobility if necessary. You can for example research
these on the Internet.
The wheelchair must be prepared for transport in a passenger vehicle.
1) Remove the drive wheels (Removing/mounting the rear wheels).
2)
If necessary:
Fold down the push handles (see Page 27).
3)
If necessary:
Fold down the backrest (see Page 26).
4) Place the disassembled wheelchair and components safely in the vehicle.
5) Securely reattach the rear wheels during reassembly.
